3. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember things about your visit, such as your preferred language, login state, or items in a basket. We use both first-party cookies (set by World of Speed directly) and third-party cookies (set by services we use, such as Google).
3.1 Types of cookies we use
| Category | Purpose | Examples |

3.2 Controlling cookies
Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies through their settings. Doing so may break some functionality on the site. For granular control, our cookie banner on first visit lets you accept or reject non-essential cookies (analytics, advertising, affiliate). You can change your preferences at any time by clearing your browser cookies and re-visiting the site.
If you visit from a region with stricter consent requirements (GDPR for the EU/UK/EEA, LGPD for Brazil, CPRA for California), our cookie banner will request your explicit consent for non-essential cookies before they are set. You can withdraw consent at any time. We honour Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where supported by your browser.
4. Third-Party Services and Data Sharing
We use several third-party services to deliver the site, measure performance, and support our advertising and affiliate business. Each of these services has its own privacy policy, which we recommend you review:
4.1 Analytics
Google Analytics: We use Google Analytics 4 to measure traffic, understand reader behaviour, and improve our content. Google Analytics uses cookies and may collect IP addresses (which we anonymise where the feature is available). Data is processed by Google LLC in the United States. See Google’s Privacy Policy and how Google uses data when you visit a partner site.
4.2 Advertising โ Google AdSense
Google AdSense displays advertisements on World of Speed. Google may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site and other sites. You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings or, for non-Google ad networks, the NAI opt-out page.
4.3 Affiliate partners
We participate in affiliate programs with multiple partners. When you click an affiliate link on World of Speed, a tracking cookie is set by the partner to attribute any resulting purchase or subscription. The main affiliate partners we work with are:
- Amazon Associates โ for product links across the Amazon family of sites (.com, .co.uk, .de, etc.)
- FuboTV โ for sports streaming subscriptions
- Other affiliate networks โ including ticketing, racing gear, broadcast services and racing simulator partners (full list in our Affiliate Disclaimer)
4.4 Hosting and infrastructure
The site is hosted on third-party infrastructure providers. Your IP address and request data are processed by these providers in order to deliver the site to you. Hosting providers are bound by data processing agreements and act as data processors on our behalf.
4.5 Email service providers
If you subscribe to a newsletter, your email is processed by our email service provider (e.g., Mailchimp, ConvertKit, or similar) under a data processing agreement. We do not share your email with anyone else for marketing purposes.

6.2 Data security
We use industry-standard security measures to protect personal information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These include encryption in transit (HTTPS), restricted access to systems handling personal data, regular security updates to our software, and contractual data processing agreements with our service providers. No system is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6.3 Children’s privacy
World of Speed is not directed at children under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under that age. If we discover that we have collected personal information from a child under 16 without verified parental consent, we will delete it promptly. Parents or guardians who believe their child has provided us with personal information should contact privacy@worldofspeed.org.
7. International Data Transfers
World of Speed is published by FnF Media LLC, based in Bangladesh. Some of our service providers (Google, Amazon Web Services, hosting providers) are based in the United States, the European Union, or other countries. Where personal data is transferred outside your country of residence, we rely on appropriate safeguards including Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission, adequacy decisions where applicable, and the safeguards built into each provider’s privacy framework.
8. Contact & Complaints
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy, want to exercise your privacy rights, or wish to make a complaint about our handling of your personal data, please contact us:

For EU residents, you can find your national data protection authority via the European Data Protection Board. For UK residents, the supervisory authority is the ICO.
This Privacy Policy is provided as a template suitable for a content publisher with display advertising and affiliate relationships. Specifics โ your final email addresses, postal address, exact list of affiliate partners, retention periods, hosting providers, and the privacy frameworks you commit to โ must be confirmed before publication. We strongly recommend a privacy lawyer or qualified data-protection consultant review the final version, particularly if you serve readers in the EU/UK (GDPR) or California (CPRA).

We take your privacy seriously. We use the minimum data needed to run the site, we explain what we do with it, we don’t sell it, and we let you control it. If anything in this policy is unclear or you have questions, email privacy@worldofspeed.org.
