After the FIA chairman recently said they are open to accepting new teams in F1, fans were overjoyed. General motors will collab with Andretti and put forward a formal “expression of interest” to the FIA. If they are approved, there will be more than 20 drivers racing on the track.

F1 is considered to be the most prestigious motorsport event and it costs millions each year to stay in the race. It is not an easy task to be able to even participate in F1, let alone win a championship. With GM entering the race, there will be a versatile F1 audience with fans from the USA.

Micheal Andretti from Andretti Global said in a statement, “Together, we will continue to follow procedures and steps put forth by the FIA during the evaluation process.”
