The first NASCAR event of 2023 will be on Feb 5 in LA, California. This is the first clash of the NASCAR cup series, which is named Busch Light Clash, at The Coliseum. This year, 27 cars will compete compared to last year’s 23. 

This year’s clash format will remain predominantly unvarying. Before the race on Saturday, Feb. 4,  each group can dial in their cars utilizing three practice sessions. There will be a total of three groups. 

All chartered teams and associated drivers for NASCAR 2023 Cup Series will be eligible to enter the Clash. Moreover, non-chartered teams and drivers can enter the clash for four additional starting spots.

  19. Heat 3 fifth-place
  20. Heat 4 fifth-place
  21. LCQ 1 winner
  22. LCQ 2 winner
  23. LCQ 1 second-place
