Mx: The Rise Of Motocross

Motocross is a type of off-road motorcycle racing that experienced an explosion of popularity in the U.S. during the 70s and 80s. It was an era of wild riders on two-stroke machines climbing their way onto the world stage.

World of Speed’s exhibit features 13 motorcycles that helped shape the sport of motocross in the United States. The hand-built, limited run, 1966 Matchless G85 Competition Scrambler and the forward thinking 1979 Yamaha YZ250 are just two of the exciting machines we have on display. Visit World of Speed to learn about the bikes, manufacturers and the riders that brought the sport into the spotlight.

Exhibit closes August 2020
