2025 Miami Sprint: Two Different Levels of Danger

Miami produced two unsafe-release penalties in one Sprint. Bearman was released into Hulkenberg’s path, forcing the Sauber driver to brake and avoid him.

The stewards gave Bearman five seconds. He lost the final points-paying position and fell to 14th.

Verstappen’s incident involved contact with Antonelli. He received 10 seconds and ended the Sprint classified 17th.

The penalty was removed. Antonelli returned to fourth, and Mercedes gained the associated championship points.
