NHRA Sonoma Nationals 2026 Results: Every Winner and Full Eliminations Recap

Kalitta entered eliminations as the Top Fuel No. 1 qualifier. His path included a first-round win over Clay Millican, a quarterfinal bye and a difficult semifinal against Antron Brown. The final produced his quickest and fastest pass of eliminations.

Vandergriff also started from No. 1. He made the best Funny Car run of Sunday in the opening round, then defeated Hagan and reigning world champion Prock before meeting Wilkerson.

Stanfield’s Pro Stock day required the most starting-line precision. He defeated his son Aaron in round one despite Aaron recording the quicker elapsed time. He later beat McGaha and Jeg Coughlin Jr. before another holeshot decided the final.

The table below contains the three professional winners and seven sportsman champions. Winning elapsed times and speeds follow NHRA’s official Sonoma event-results listing.

Professional racing supplied the headline names, but the sportsman finals produced several close finishes. Vetter won Super Comp by .0106 second. Sedmak won Super Gas by .0105 and earned his first Wally in his first final.

Lamb added another significant milestone in Stock Eliminator. His 9.312 on a 9.31 dial defeated Grossi, who broke out. The victory was Lamb’s 37th Wally, his third of the season and a second consecutive Sonoma Stock win.

The Top Fuel final was the fastest championship pairing. Salinas left first by .016 second, but her dragster lost performance later in the run. Kalitta’s 339.96-mph finish created a .0682-second victory.

Vandergriff carried a clear elapsed-time advantage in Funny Car. Wilkerson stayed close early before slowing to 301.33 mph. Vandergriff reached the stripe at 330.72.

Pro Stock delivered the most technical finish. Enders’ 6.550 was one thousandth quicker than Stanfield’s 6.551. However, Stanfield left .017 second earlier, producing a .0166-second total package advantage.

Kalitta’s 14-car Top Fuel ladder produced a bye after he beat Millican in round one. Salinas had no such break. She defeated Hart, championship leader Langdon and Pruett before reaching the final.

Both Funny Car finalists completed four contested rounds. Vandergriff faced three experienced winners before Wilkerson. Wilkerson reached his second final of the season after defeating Hunter Green, Hyde and Beckman.

Pro Stock’s Elite Motorsports strength was visible throughout the ladder. Stanfield and Enders both defeated three teammates or allied entries before meeting each other for the trophy.

Top Fuel began with 14 cars, so the first round produced seven winners. Brown opened the day by beating Schumacher in a close 3.739-to-3.746 race. Stewart ran a strong 3.712 to eliminate Ashley, while Billy Torrence posted a 3.707 against Reed.

Langdon advanced when Smith could not make a pass. Kalitta beat Millican after the #51 car encountered trouble. Pruett defeated Gordon, while Salinas opened her home-event run with a 3.756 against Hart.

Kalitta’s semifinal was not a normal win

Kalitta and Brown both lost traction during the semifinal. Kalitta recovered first and recorded a 4.105 at 251.77 mph. Brown slowed to 4.917, allowing the No. 1 qualifier to reach the final despite losing his clean-run advantage.

The final returned Kalitta to full performance. He reached 339.96 mph, the quickest speed in any Sonoma final. The victory was his 61st career national-event win.

Salinas delivered a breakout home-race performance

Salinas defeated points leader Langdon in the quarterfinals and Pruett on a semifinal holeshot. Pruett ran the quicker 3.751, but Salinas’ .068 reaction time beat Pruett’s .091 and created a .0024-second margin.

That run placed Salinas in her first career Top Fuel final. She again left first against Kalitta, but the dragster dropped a cylinder and could not hold the lead.

The opening Funny Car round immediately changed the championship picture. Prock defeated points leader Capps after both cars encountered trouble. Capps’ early exit reduced his advantage over Vandergriff.

Vandergriff delivered the round’s best number with a 3.891 at 328.46 mph against Rupert. Beckman, Wilkerson and Hagan also advanced with three-second runs. Lee defeated Chad Green, Hyde advanced when Richards could not stage, and Pedregon beat DeJoria.

The semifinal against Prock

Vandergriff versus Prock carried extra attention because Vandergriff took over the Cornwell Tools seat previously driven by Prock. Their semifinal justified the interest.

Prock left first with a .064 reaction time. Vandergriff responded with a 3.911 against Prock’s 3.921. The result created a margin of only .0035 second.

Wilkerson survived a strange semifinal

Wilkerson and Beckman both smoked the tires at the hit. Each driver attempted to recover. Wilkerson managed a 5.159 and reached his second final of the season.

His final pass was far stronger at 3.950. However, Vandergriff remained in control with a 3.900. The victory moved Vandergriff three positions to second in the standings.

Pro Stock supplied the most unpredictable opening round of the weekend. Five drivers from the bottom half of the ladder advanced. The eliminated group included several leading championship contenders.

No. 16 qualifier McGaha beat No. 1 qualifier Vang. Glenn, Anderson and Hartford also exited early. Bell, Troy Coughlin Jr., Jeg Coughlin Jr. and Eric Latino joined McGaha as lower-half winners.

Stanfield’s first holeshot escape

Aaron Stanfield ran 6.513 in round one, while Greg recorded a slower 6.534. However, Aaron’s .145 reaction time left the door open. Greg’s .067 light produced a .0572-second holeshot win.

Stanfield then ran an impressive 6.519 to defeat McGaha. He reached the final when Jeg encountered severe tire shake in the semifinal.

Enders reached her first final of 2026

Enders began with a strong 6.520 against Delco. In the quarterfinal, she defeated Latino on a holeshot despite running 6.535 to Latino’s quicker 6.533.

Both semifinal cars shook the tires, but Enders recovered to beat Troy Coughlin Jr. Her final 6.550 was the quickest pass in the championship round.

How Stanfield won with the slower car

Stanfield’s .015 reaction time was almost perfect for a pressure final. Enders reacted in .032. That .017-second starting-line advantage exceeded the .001-second ET deficit.

The resulting .0166-second margin equaled roughly five feet. Stanfield earned his seventh professional victory and his second consecutive Sonoma title.

Clinton Neff — Competition Eliminator

Neff defeated Graham with a 7.639 at 172.43 mph. Graham left first, but Neff held on by .0129 second and earned his sixth Wally.

Jody Lang — Super Stock

Lang won Super Stock with an official winning run of 10.883 at 115.57 mph. He qualified deep in a diverse field but worked through the handicap-format eliminations to claim the class title.

Justin Lamb — Stock Eliminator

Lamb ran 9.312 on a 9.31 dial. Grossi left first but broke out with a 10.202 on a 10.24 dial. Lamb’s disciplined finish earned the 37th Wally of his career.

Trey Vetter — Super Comp

Vetter used a .018 reaction time and an 8.911 to beat Williamson’s 8.913. The .0106-second margin was approximately three feet and gave Vetter his third Wally.

Douglas Sedmak — Super Gas

Sedmak’s .004 reaction time created the foundation for a 9.914 victory over Pierce. The margin was .0105 second. It was Sedmak’s first final and first Wally.

Kenneth Ratzloff — Top Sportsman

Ratzloff left with a .012 light and ran 6.861 on a 6.85 dial. Warr ran closer to his dial but could not erase the starting-line deficit. Ratzloff won by .0177 second.

Keith Winters — Top Dragster

Winters won Top Dragster with a 6.313 at 214.66 mph. He began eliminations from the 14th qualifying position and finished the weekend as the category champion.

NHRA’s event page also lists four Saturday specialty winners. These results are part of the Sonoma weekend, but they should not be mixed with the Sunday national-event champion list.

Langdon, Capps and Glenn won the Mission #2Fast2Tasty Challenges for their professional categories. Herrera won the GETTRX Pro Stock Motorcycle All-Star Callout.

Sonoma did not host a normal Pro Stock Motorcycle national-event eliminations field. Herrera’s trophy came from the invitation-only Callout competition conducted on Saturday.

Top Fuel

Kalitta remained second in points but reduced teammate Langdon’s lead to 85. The victory also strengthened his position before the Countdown, especially because Sonoma helped launch his 2025 championship run.

Salinas did not win, yet her first final confirmed that the Scrappers dragster could contend with the championship leaders. Beating Langdon and Pruett added weight to the result.

Funny Car

Vandergriff moved from fifth to second. He left Sonoma only 74 points behind Capps, whose first-round loss to Prock removed a large part of his previous advantage.

The result turned Vandergriff from a breakout winner into a realistic regular-season title challenger. His car had also been quickest in the final three qualifying sessions.

Pro Stock

Stanfield moved to third after his first victory of the season. Elite Motorsports demonstrated broad strength by placing four cars in the semifinals and winning at Sonoma for a fifth consecutive event.

Glenn retained the points lead despite his opening-round loss. His margin over Anderson stood at 21 points after Anderson also lost in round one.

1. Kalitta remains Sonoma’s Top Fuel standard

Seven victories at one track are not a short-term trend. Kalitta consistently combines qualifying speed, race-day adaptability and strong finish-line performance in Wine Country.

2. Vandergriff’s second win was more convincing than his first

He qualified first, made the quickest elimination pass and defeated Hagan and Prock before the final. The weekend showed repeatable performance rather than one fortunate ladder.

3. Pro Stock was decided at the starting line

Stanfield won two holeshot races, while Enders also used a holeshot in the quarterfinal. At Sonoma, reaction time mattered as much as horsepower.

4. The next first-time professional winner may be close

Salinas and Wilkerson both reached finals. Vang qualified No. 1 in Pro Stock. The weekend produced several signs that another new winner could emerge soon.

5. Sportsman finals supplied some of the closest racing

Vetter and Sedmak won by just over one hundredth. Ratzloff’s .012 light decided Top Sportsman. Those margins deserve the same analytical attention as the professional finals.
