📍 Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours, France 🗓 September 4–6, 2026 ⏱ Event-specific times pending 🇺🇸 RACER Network / VideoPass

The Magny-Cours WorldSBK 2026 schedule begins with one fully confirmed fact: the Acerbis French Round runs from Friday, September 4, through Sunday, September 6. It is Round 9 of 12 and the first event after WorldSBK’s summer break.

However, the event-specific session timetable had not appeared on the official French Round page when this guide was updated on July 21. WorldSBK has published an official standard 2026 event schedule, so U.S. fans can still build a useful viewing plan. This article separates that standard template from confirmed Magny-Cours times.

RACER Network is the official 2026 U.S. broadcaster. Meanwhile, WorldSBK VideoPass provides every session from every class live and on demand. The official app adds live timing, live tracking and live audio commentary.

Magny-Cours WorldSBK 2026 Schedule: The Quick Answer

Confirmed dates first · Planning times clearly labeled

When is Magny-Cours WorldSBK 2026?

The Acerbis French Round runs from September 4–6, 2026, at Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours. Friday is practice day, Saturday contains Superpole and Race 1, while Sunday features the Superpole Race and Race 2. The exact event-specific start times were still pending on July 21.

WorldSBK’s official calendar places France between Donington Park and Cremona. Therefore, Magny-Cours opens the final four-round stretch of the season. The paddock then visits Cremona, Estoril and Jerez.

The FIM’s 2026 calendar lists three championships at the French Round: WorldSBK, WorldSSP and the new WorldSPB category. WorldWCR is not marked for this event on that calendar.

For U.S. viewers, the time-zone conversion is simple. Magny-Cours uses Central European Summer Time in early September. CEST is six hours ahead of Eastern Daylight Time, seven hours ahead of Central, eight hours ahead of Mountain and nine hours ahead of Pacific.

⚠️
Important timetable distinction

The dates and weekend format are confirmed. The times below come from WorldSBK’s official 2026 standard schedule, not a published Magny-Cours event timetable. Event organizers can move sessions for class lineups, television or operational reasons.

This distinction protects readers from a common schedule error. Several older guides simply copy the previous season’s timetable. Magny-Cours used a revised Sunday program in 2025, so last year’s times should not be presented as the 2026 race timetable.

What is official now and what remains pending

Are the exact Magny-Cours WorldSBK 2026 session times confirmed?

The French Round dates are confirmed, but the event-specific session timetable was not published by July 21, 2026. WorldSBK has released an official standard weekend template. It offers useful ET planning times, although the final Magny-Cours schedule may move sessions or remove unused class slots.

The official event page currently displays the dates, ticket links and future-round information. However, its schedule area does not yet show session times. Therefore, a responsible guide must avoid calling any clock time “confirmed Magny-Cours 2026.”

WorldSBK’s official standard schedule remains valuable. It was approved for 2026 to create a more consistent flow, with WorldSBK generally closing Saturday and Sunday. The Tissot Superpole Race remains in its established late-morning Sunday slot.

In addition, recent rounds show why event pages still matter. Misano used a modified Sunday order, while other weekends followed the normal 3:30 p.m. local WorldSBK finish. Class participation and local requirements can change the program.

Use the official standard schedule to plan the weekend. Use the final French Round timetable to set the alarm.

Every clock time in this table is converted from the official 2026 standard event schedule. It is a planning template, not the final Magny-Cours timetable.

The standard template places the two full-distance WorldSBK races at 3:30 p.m. local time. That creates a practical 9:30 a.m. ET start for U.S. viewers. The Superpole Race is much earlier at 5:10 a.m. ET.

West Coast viewers face a tougher choice. Superpole is scheduled at 2:15 a.m. PT under the template, while the Sunday sprint is 2:10 a.m. PT. Therefore, VideoPass replay access carries more value in Pacific Time.

The table also explains why a single “race time” is not enough for WorldSBK. The weekend awards points in Race 1, the Superpole Race and Race 2. Qualifying also shapes both Saturday and Sunday.

Friday Magny-Cours WorldSBK Schedule: Practice and Setup Work

Standard template: FP1 at 4:20 a.m. ET · FP2 at 9:00 a.m. ET

What sessions are held on Friday at Magny-Cours?

Friday is WorldSBK practice day. The official standard 2026 template schedules Free Practice 1 at 10:20 a.m. local time and Free Practice 2 at 3:00 p.m. local time. That converts to 4:20 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. ET, although final French Round times remain pending.

Friday is more important than a simple warm-up. Teams use FP1 to establish braking balance, electronics and tire behavior. Then, FP2 reveals whether the motorcycle can maintain pace across a longer run.

Magny-Cours places unusual demands on setup. The fast opening sector rewards a bike that turns freely. However, Adelaide and Lycee require strong braking support.

Consequently, engineers cannot chase only one quality. A stiff setup may improve braking but hurt direction changes. A softer motorcycle may turn well yet move too much under maximum deceleration.

What to Watch in Free Practice 1

The first session provides the clearest look at baseline form after the summer break. Riders have not competed since Donington Park in July. Therefore, rhythm and confidence may take several laps to return.

Watch the braking zones rather than the top-speed chart alone. A rider who stops the motorcycle cleanly at Adelaide can protect the front tire and create better exit drive.

Teams will also compare engine-braking maps. Too much rear-wheel drag can destabilize the bike. Too little can increase the burden on the front tire.

Why Free Practice 2 Matters More for Race Predictions

FP2 usually offers warmer track conditions than the morning session. Those temperatures may better resemble Saturday and Sunday afternoon races.

Long-run consistency matters more than one fast lap. A rider who repeats competitive times over ten laps has a stronger race case than someone who produces one fresh-tire attack.

In addition, teams must understand rear-tire drop. Magny-Cours includes several low-speed exits. Repeated wheelspin can create a sharp pace loss late in a full-distance race.

World of Speed’s guides to how race timing works and what grip means in racing help explain the data shown during practice.

Saturday Timetable: Free Practice 3, Superpole and Race 1

Standard template: Superpole at 5:15 a.m. ET · Race 1 at 9:30 a.m. ET

When is Magny-Cours WorldSBK Race 1?

The event-specific Race 1 time is not yet confirmed. Under the official 2026 standard schedule, WorldSBK Race 1 starts Saturday at 3:30 p.m. CEST. That is 9:30 a.m. ET, 8:30 a.m. CT, 7:30 a.m. MT and 6:30 a.m. PT.

Saturday begins with FP3 under the standard template. The 20-minute session is short, so teams focus on final checks rather than major setup changes.

Superpole follows at 11:15 a.m. local time in the template. Its 15-minute format creates immediate pressure. Riders have limited attempts, while yellow flags can remove the best lap.

Superpole determines the starting grid for Race 1 and the Superpole Race. It also sets Race 2 positions from tenth backward. Therefore, a weak qualifying session can affect the entire weekend.

Why Grid Position Matters at Magny-Cours

Magny-Cours offers genuine passing zones. Nevertheless, a front-row start remains valuable. Clean air reduces front-tire pressure and temperature problems.

Starting near the front also protects the rider through the opening Grand Courbe and Estoril sequence. Mid-pack traffic can force an unnatural line before the first major braking zone.

Adelaide creates a passing chance on Lap 1. However, it also creates contact risk. Riders arrive together, and everyone understands that track position matters.

Readers can review how racing qualifying works, why grid position matters and what pole position means.

Race 1 Sets the Competitive Direction

Race 1 is the first full-distance contest. Teams learn how their setup behaves in traffic and under sustained tire load.

However, the result does not change the Sunday grid directly. The Superpole Race decides the first nine Race 2 positions. Therefore, a Saturday recovery does not guarantee a strong Sunday start.

Race 1 remains critical for championship points. It also reveals whether Friday long-run pace was genuine. Riders who struggle late will have one evening to respond.

Sunday Timetable: Superpole Race and WorldSBK Race 2

Standard template: sprint at 5:10 a.m. ET · Race 2 at 9:30 a.m. ET

When is the Magny-Cours Superpole Race and Race 2?

Final French Round times remain pending. The official 2026 standard template places the Superpole Race at 11:10 a.m. local, or 5:10 a.m. ET. WorldSBK Race 2 follows at 3:30 p.m. local, which converts to 9:30 a.m. ET.

Sunday begins with a short Warm Up. It gives teams one final chance to check overnight changes. Riders also assess track temperature and wind before the sprint.

The Tissot Superpole Race lasts ten laps. Its shorter distance encourages immediate attacks because tire conservation carries less weight.

The sprint also reshapes Race 2. The top nine finishers occupy the first three rows in their finishing order. Positions from tenth backward come from Saturday Superpole.

Why the Superpole Race Is the Key Sunday Session

A rider can score points and improve the final-race grid in one contest. Conversely, a crash can create two problems. It removes sprint points and forces a recovery start in Race 2.

Iker Lecuona experienced that exact penalty at Donington. He crashed from the Superpole Race lead and then started Race 2 from tenth. Although he recovered to second, Nicolo Bulega had already escaped.

Magny-Cours has more obvious passing zones than some circuits. Even so, a rider starting tenth must use tire life in traffic. That can reduce late-race pace.

Race 2 Usually Provides the Most Complete Test

By Sunday afternoon, every team has two days of data. Race 2 therefore reflects the best version of each setup.

Yet the track may also be warmer and more rubbered. Those conditions change braking grip and rear-tire stress. A successful Saturday setup may need adjustment.

Race 2 also closes the weekend under the standard schedule. For East Coast viewers, the projected 9:30 a.m. ET window is convenient. West Coast fans receive a more manageable 6:30 a.m. PT start.

📺
Best Sunday viewing plan

Watch the Superpole Race live if the championship battle matters to you. It sets the front of the Race 2 grid. Then return for the full-distance finale. Viewers who skip the sprint may miss why a leading rider starts deep in the field.

Magny-Cours WorldSBK 2026 TV Coverage in the United States

Official U.S. broadcaster: RACER Network

What channel shows Magny-Cours WorldSBK in the United States?

WorldSBK lists RACER Network as the official 2026 U.S. broadcaster. The French Round’s individual live and replay windows had not been published when this guide was updated. Fans should check RACER’s race-week listings before assuming every practice session will appear on the same platform.

The broadcaster position is confirmed for the full season. However, event-level schedules can vary. RACER may place sessions on its network, streaming service or a combination of live and delayed windows.

Therefore, this article does not invent a channel number or claim that every session will receive linear coverage. Those details should come from the final RACER schedule.

How to Check the Final RACER Assignment

Open RACER’s weekly television and streaming schedule

Search for WorldSBK, French Round or Magny-Cours during race week. Check whether each listing is live, delayed or replayed.

Compare the listing with the official event timetable

A television listing may begin with pre-race coverage. Match the session name, not only the start time.

Use VideoPass for complete-session certainty

VideoPass carries every session live and on demand. It is the simpler route for viewers who want Friday practice and support classes.

Will Every Practice Session Be on RACER?

That has not been confirmed. Broadcasters commonly prioritize Superpole and the three WorldSBK races. Friday practice may receive less prominent placement.

Consequently, viewers who want the full Magny-Cours WorldSBK 2026 schedule should treat VideoPass as the complete option. RACER remains the official U.S. broadcaster, but individual session distribution can differ.

What About Highlights and Replays?

RACER’s event listing will determine any television replay. Meanwhile, WorldSBK VideoPass provides on-demand full sessions and a historical archive.

The official WorldSBK videos page also publishes race highlights and shorter clips. Availability and length can vary by round.

How to Stream Magny-Cours WorldSBK 2026 With VideoPass

Every session · Every class · Live and on demand

Can I stream every Magny-Cours WorldSBK session?

Yes. WorldSBK says VideoPass provides every session of every round live and uninterrupted throughout 2026. It also includes on-demand full sessions and a historical archive. The official app adds live timing, live tracking and live audio commentary for practice, Superpole and races.

VideoPass removes the uncertainty created by event-level television listings. One subscription covers WorldSBK, WorldSSP and WorldSPB sessions at the French Round.

It is also useful for delayed viewing. East Coast viewers may watch Race 1 and Race 2 live under the standard schedule. However, the Superpole Race’s projected 5:10 a.m. ET start is less convenient.

VideoPassEvery session live and on demand in HD.
Live TimingLap times, sectors and session classification.
Live TrackingRider positions around the circuit.
Live AudioOfficial WorldSBK commentary during sessions.

What VideoPass Includes

  • WorldSBK practice, Superpole, Race 1, Superpole Race and Race 2.
  • WorldSSP and WorldSPB sessions listed for the French Round.
  • Live, uninterrupted coverage throughout the weekend.
  • On-demand full sessions after live coverage.
  • A historical archive of previous WorldSBK races.
  • Highlights, interviews and technical features.

Can I Watch Without Cable?

VideoPass is a direct WorldSBK subscription. Therefore, it does not require a traditional U.S. cable package.

Pricing can change during the season. Fans should check the official subscription page before the French Round. Regional restrictions and taxes may also vary.

How to Avoid Spoilers

Turn off WorldSBK, team and social-media notifications before a delayed replay. Also avoid opening the main results page.

Bookmark the VideoPass event page before the weekend. Then open the replay directly rather than navigating through news headlines.

How to Use the Official App as a Second Screen

The app provides live timing and tracking for each session. This makes it easier to follow sector gains that the television feed may not immediately explain.

During Superpole, timing reveals whether a rider is improving before the lap finishes. During races, live tracking shows gaps and rider positions around the circuit.

World of Speed’s lap-counting guide and racing-flags explainer add useful context when a session is interrupted.

WorldSSP and WorldSPB at Magny-Cours

Three championships listed on the official 2026 French Round calendar

What support classes are scheduled at Magny-Cours in 2026?

The FIM’s official 2026 calendar lists WorldSBK, WorldSSP and WorldSPB at Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours. WorldSPB is the new Sportbike entry category for 2026. WorldWCR is not marked for the French Round on that calendar.

The class lineup matters because it shapes the event-specific timetable. WorldSBK’s standard template includes four championships, but Magny-Cours is listed with three.

Therefore, unused WorldWCR slots may remain empty or allow the organizer to adjust pit walks and support sessions. This is another reason not to treat the standard template as final.

WorldSSP Standard Planning Times

Under the standard schedule, WorldSSP Free Practice runs Friday at 11:20 a.m. local, or 5:20 a.m. ET. Superpole follows at 4:00 p.m. local, or 10:00 a.m. ET.

Saturday Warm Up is listed at 10:10 a.m. local. Race 1 follows at 2:00 p.m. local, which converts to 8:00 a.m. ET.

Sunday Warm Up is scheduled for 9:55 a.m. local. Race 2 follows at 2:00 p.m. local, again converting to 8:00 a.m. ET.

WorldSPB Standard Planning Times

The standard template places WorldSPB Free Practice at 9:40 a.m. Friday, or 3:40 a.m. ET. Superpole is listed at 2:10 p.m. local, or 8:10 a.m. ET.

Saturday Race 1 and Sunday Race 2 both occupy the 1:00 p.m. local slot in the template. That converts to 7:00 a.m. ET.

WorldSPB is new for 2026, so many fans are still learning its place in the paddock. It creates a lower-cost production-based path beneath WorldSSP while maintaining the championship’s road-bike identity.

Best Support-Class Viewing Plan

Under the standard template, WorldSPB and WorldSSP races build toward WorldSBK. Saturday places the support races at 7:00 and 8:00 a.m. ET before Race 1 at 9:30 a.m. ET.

Sunday follows the same pattern before Race 2. Therefore, an East Coast fan can watch three consecutive races without a long break.

VideoPass is the clearest route for complete support-class coverage. Event-level television schedules may focus more heavily on WorldSBK.

Why the Magny-Cours Schedule Can Change

Weather, class order and a technically demanding circuit

Can weather change the Magny-Cours WorldSBK timetable?

Yes. Race Direction can delay, shorten or interrupt sessions when heavy rain, standing water or visibility creates unsafe conditions. Magny-Cours has a history of changeable weather, but no reliable September 2026 forecast exists in July. Fans should check the official schedule and live timing during race week.

The circuit measures 4.4 kilometers and contains 17 corners. Eight turn left and nine turn right. WorldSBK has raced there regularly since 2003.

Its opening sector flows through Grand Courbe and Estoril. The lap then reaches the heavy Adelaide braking zone before more direction changes and hairpins.

The layout matters to the schedule because rain can create very different grip levels around one lap. Water may remain near slower corners while a racing line begins to dry elsewhere.

Magny-Cours Has Recent Wet-Weather Evidence

The 2024 WorldSBK Race 1 took place in severe rain. Michael van der Mark won, while only 12 riders reached the finish.

That race shows why a timetable may move even when the event begins on time. Race Direction must monitor standing water, spray and medical access.

WorldSBK can race in wet conditions. However, safety remains the deciding factor. Red flags, delayed starts or reduced distances can extend a television window.

The Main Overtaking Zones

Adelaide is the circuit’s clearest passing point. Riders arrive at high speed before braking for a tight right-hand hairpin.

Château d’Eau and Lycee also reward late braking. The Lycee complex is especially important on the final lap because little time remains for a response.

These corners make the races worth watching from the start. A rider can attack without waiting for tire degradation. However, repeated defense can damage exit speed and rear grip.

World of Speed’s slipstream guide and motorsport crash explainer cover two forces that shape close racing.

🏆

Championship Context Before the French Round

Why the September timetable matters beyond viewing convenience

Nicolo Bulega leads the riders’ standings with 491 points after Donington Park. Iker Lecuona sits second with 358, leaving a 133-point gap.

Yari Montella holds third with 211 points. Alex Lowes follows on 182, while Sam Lowes has 177.

Donington produced the season’s first different WorldSBK winner. Lecuona defeated Bulega after a 23-lap Race 1 fight. The victory ended Bulega’s 25-race winning streak across two seasons.

However, Bulega answered on Sunday. He won the Superpole Race and Race 2. Ducati also secured the 2026 Manufacturers’ Championship, while Aruba.it Racing had already clinched the Teams’ Championship.

Why U.S. Fans Should Watch the Superpole Race

The early Sunday start may be inconvenient, but it carries major sporting value. The sprint awards points and sets the first nine Race 2 grid positions.

A Bulega victory would extend his championship control before the main race. A Lecuona win could create a more difficult Race 2 start for his teammate.

The fight for third is closer. Montella leads Alex Lowes by 29 points and Sam Lowes by 34. One difficult weekend can erase most of that advantage.

World of Speed’s championship scoring guide explains how points accumulate across a season.

Magny-Cours WorldSBK 2026 U.S. Viewing Checklist

A practical plan before the official event timetable arrives
  1. Save September 4–6. Those dates are confirmed on the official WorldSBK calendar.
  2. Use the standard schedule for planning only. The projected headline windows are 9:30 a.m. ET for Race 1 and Race 2.
  3. Do not set final alarms yet. The event-specific Magny-Cours timetable can change the template.
  4. Check RACER’s race-week schedule. The network has U.S. rights, but individual round windows remain separate listings.
  5. Prepare VideoPass before Friday. It carries every session from every class live and on demand.
  6. Use the WorldSBK app for timing. Live sectors and rider tracking help during practice and Superpole.
  7. Plan for an early Sunday sprint. The standard template places it at 5:10 a.m. ET.
  8. Check weather during race week. Rain can delay or reshape the timetable.
  9. Turn off notifications before replays. The Superpole Race may be difficult to watch live in several U.S. time zones.

The simplest approach is to treat the standard schedule as a calendar placeholder. Then, replace those times with the official French Round program once WorldSBK publishes it.

For viewers who only want the main races, the standard template suggests a friendly U.S. morning window. For complete coverage, Friday and the Sunday sprint demand earlier starts.

Conclusion: Plan Around the Official Template, Then Check the Final French Round Timetable

The Magny-Cours WorldSBK 2026 schedule is confirmed at the date level. The Acerbis French Round runs from September 4 through September 6 at Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours.

It is Round 9 of 12 and the first event after the summer break. WorldSBK, WorldSSP and WorldSPB are listed for the French weekend.

The event-specific session times are not yet official. Therefore, this guide does not copy the 2025 timetable or label estimates as confirmed 2026 race times.

WorldSBK’s official standard schedule still gives U.S. viewers a strong planning framework. It places Race 1 and Race 2 at 9:30 a.m. ET, while the Superpole Race starts at 5:10 a.m. ET.

Those times may change when the final Magny-Cours program appears. The missing WorldWCR class could also affect support-session spacing and pit-walk windows.

RACER Network is the confirmed U.S. broadcaster. However, the round-specific television and streaming windows should be checked during race week.

WorldSBK VideoPass offers the most complete coverage. It carries every session from every class live and on demand, without relying on individual television assignments.

The official app adds live timing, live tracking and audio commentary. Those tools are especially useful during practice and Superpole.

The sporting context also makes the weekend essential. Bulega leads Lecuona by 133 points, while the fight for third remains much closer.

Save the dates now. Use the standard timetable for planning. Then confirm every alarm against the official French Round schedule before the first session begins.
