Formula DRIFT Indianapolis 2026: Full Schedule, Event Timetable, TV Coverage & Live Streaming Guide
Every confirmed PRO and PROSPEC session, Eastern Time start, U.S. time-zone conversion, RACER Network window, free RACER+ access, YouTube availability, replays and trackside information for Midwest Mayhem.
The Formula DRIFT Indianapolis 2026 schedule covers three days at Indianapolis Raceway Park. Thursday brings PRO practice, PROSPEC seeding and PRO qualifying. Friday belongs to PROSPEC. Saturday delivers the PRO Top 32, Top 16 and final.
All official event times are local Eastern Time. Therefore, New York and Toronto viewers can use the published clock directly. Chicago is one hour earlier, Denver is two hours earlier and Los Angeles is three hours earlier.
The complete Formula DRIFT live package remains free. However, viewers must use the correct platform. The RACER GridWalk and PRO Top 16 are not part of the usual YouTube stream. Those sessions air through RACER Network, the RACER+ app and Formula DRIFT’s embedded RACER+ player.
This guide uses the official Indianapolis timetable and Formula DRIFT–RACER broadcast information available on July 22, 2026. Direct stream links, cable listings and replay pages can update during event week.
Formula DRIFT Indianapolis 2026 Schedule: The Quick Answer
What is the Formula DRIFT Indianapolis 2026 schedule?
The first livestream begins Thursday at 3:00 p.m. ET with PROSPEC seeding. PRO qualifying follows at 7:00 p.m. Friday’s PROSPEC Top 32 starts at 2:00 p.m., followed by the Top 16 at 7:00 p.m. Saturday’s PRO Top 32 begins at 2:30 p.m., and the Top 16 starts at 7:00 p.m. ET.
| Headline session | Date | Eastern Time | Pacific Time | Main viewing routes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| PROSPEC Seeding Bracket | Thursday, July 30 | 3:00–5:30 p.m. | 12:00–2:30 p.m. | FD Live, RACER+, RACER Select, YouTube |
| PRO Qualifying | Thursday, July 30 | 7:00–10:00 p.m. | 4:00–7:00 p.m. | FD Live, RACER+, RACER Select, YouTube |
| PROSPEC Top 32 | Friday, July 31 | 2:00–5:00 p.m. | 11:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. | FD Live, RACER+, RACER Select, YouTube |
| PROSPEC Top 16 to Final | Friday, July 31 | 7:00–10:00 p.m. | 4:00–7:00 p.m. | FD Live, RACER+, RACER Select, YouTube |
| PRO Top 32 | Saturday, August 1 | 2:30–5:30 p.m. | 11:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m. | FD Live, RACER+, RACER Select, YouTube |
| PRO Top 16 to Final | Saturday, August 1 | 7:00–10:00 p.m. | 4:00–7:00 p.m. | RACER Network, RACER+, FD website player |
Saturday’s Top 16 is the platform exception. The official Formula DRIFT FAQ says YouTube viewers can continue watching as usual, except for RACER’s live show, the GridWalk and the PRO Top 16.
Consequently, viewers should install RACER+ before Saturday. The app is free, and Formula DRIFT states that its live championship coverage does not require the optional RACER+ subscription.
The event timetable also includes warm-ups, fan access and box-office hours. Those details appear in the full day-by-day sections below.
Use the official Formula DRIFT Live page as the event hub. It is the safest route when direct players or platform links change.
Complete Formula DRIFT Indianapolis Event Timetable
How many days is Formula DRIFT Indianapolis 2026?
Midwest Mayhem is a three-day event. Thursday runs from the 11:00 a.m. public opening through 10:00 p.m. qualifying. Friday and Saturday both open to the public at noon and continue through 10:00 p.m. competition blocks.
Formula DRIFT makes its Indianapolis debut at Indianapolis Raceway Park. The weekend includes Round 5 of the PRO Championship and Round 3 of the Link ECU PROSPEC Championship.
The official schedule separates operating hours from livestream hours. Therefore, viewers at home will not see every warm-up. Trackside spectators receive a longer day than the broadcast audience.
All times below are Eastern Time. The event page lists sales as final and states that competition runs rain or shine.
Learning and qualifying
PRO practice starts the competitive story. PROSPEC seeding and PRO qualifying then provide the first live coverage.
PROSPEC championship day
The development series runs its Top 32, Top 16 and final around a public autograph session.
PRO main event
Warm-up leads into the Top 32. A track-walk experience precedes the RACER-carried Top 16.
One official Friday trophy-ceremony line appears outside the surrounding chronological order. This guide does not use that isolated clock time as a dependable planning item. Follow the live event page and on-site announcements after the final.
Thursday, July 30: PRO Practice, PROSPEC Seeding and PRO Qualifying
What time is Formula DRIFT Indianapolis qualifying?
PRO qualifying starts Thursday at 7:00 p.m. ET and runs until 10:00 p.m. That converts to 6:00 p.m. CT, 5:00 p.m. MT and 4:00 p.m. PT. The official event page directs viewers to Formula DRIFT Live.

Why Thursday Matters
Indianapolis is new to the championship. Teams have no previous Formula DRIFT competition data from the venue. Consequently, the first practice session carries unusual importance.
Drivers must learn the purpose-built layout, new paving and changing grip level. Home viewers do not receive a separate official livestream listing for the opening PRO practice. Live qualifying becomes the first full look at every PRO driver.
PROSPEC Seeding Bracket
The first livestream begins at 3:00 p.m. ET. PROSPEC uses a tandem seeding bracket rather than a conventional solo qualifying session.
The result influences Friday’s main-event order and awards championship points. Moreover, it gives viewers an early read on the Indianapolis course.
New fans can use World of Speed’s guide to how drivers qualify for broad context. Formula DRIFT’s judged format differs from lap-time qualifying, but seed and bracket position still shape the elimination path.
PRO Qualifying Under the Lights
PRO qualifying runs from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. ET. Every driver receives two non-consecutive solo runs under the 2026 format.
UDSM telemetry contributes line and angle scoring, while judges award style points. The final order establishes Saturday’s Top 32 bracket.
That makes Thursday essential viewing. A top seed receives a favorable bracket position and leads first in the opening tandem battle. World of Speed’s explainers on pole position and grid position help translate the value of starting order across motorsport.

Friday, July 31: Complete PROSPEC Main-Event Schedule
What time is the Formula DRIFT PROSPEC Top 16?
The PROSPEC opening ceremony and Top 16 begin Friday at 7:00 p.m. ET. The live block runs until 10:00 p.m. ET. The Top 32 starts earlier at 2:00 p.m. and continues until 5:00 p.m.

Friday Afternoon: Top 32
The Top 32 begins at 2:00 p.m. ET. This three-hour block contains the first elimination battles of the weekend.
RACER Select carries Top 32 competition for both championships. Formula DRIFT also says viewers can continue using YouTube for normal coverage outside the RACER live show, GridWalk and PRO Top 16 exceptions.
PROSPEC matters beyond driver development. The afternoon battles reveal surface temperature, tire smoke and course rhythm. Those lessons help viewers understand Saturday’s PRO strategy.
Friday Evening: Top 16 Through the Final
The second livestream begins at 7:00 p.m. ET. It includes the opening ceremony and the elimination rounds from Top 16 toward the final.
RACER Select specifically includes PROSPEC Top 16 coverage. Therefore, connected-TV users can watch the complete championship decision through that free channel.
Unlike the PRO Top 16, the official FAQ does not remove PROSPEC’s final rounds from YouTube. The platform exception applies to the PRO Top 16.

Autograph Signing
The driver autograph session runs from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. ET. It sits inside the two-hour halftime break.
Trackside spectators can attend without missing the main evening competition. However, queues can form quickly, so arriving before 5:30 p.m. is sensible.
Saturday, August 1: PRO Top 32, GridWalk, Top 16 and Final
What time is the Formula DRIFT Indianapolis main event?
The PRO Top 32 starts Saturday at 2:30 p.m. ET and runs until 5:30 p.m. The PRO opening ceremony and Top 16 begin at 7:00 p.m. ET, with the official block scheduled through 10:00 p.m.

PRO Warm-Up
The final warm-up runs from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. ET. It gives drivers one last chance to test tandem setup before elimination.
The RACER broadcast agreement also introduces a GridWalk show with driver interviews from the hot pit. Formula DRIFT has not published a separate Indianapolis GridWalk time in the event timetable. Therefore, viewers should check RACER and FD listings on Saturday.
PRO Top 32
The Top 32 stream starts at 2:30 p.m. ET. RACER Select carries Top 32 competition, while RACER+ and Formula DRIFT platforms provide additional access.
YouTube remains an option for this early competition phase. The platform change occurs for the RACER live show, GridWalk and PRO Top 16.
Each battle contains lead and chase runs. Judges compare line, angle, style, pace and proximity. A One More Time decision adds another complete pair.
Track Walk and Halftime
The halftime break begins at 5:30 p.m. ET. The separate track-walk experience is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
Formula DRIFT’s ticket listing treats track walk as an add-on rather than event admission. Trackside fans should confirm that their package includes the experience.
PRO Top 16: Switch Platforms
The PRO Top 16 begins at 7:00 p.m. ET. This is the round most likely to confuse regular YouTube viewers.
Formula DRIFT says the PRO Top 16 is available free through RACER Network, the RACER+ app and the RACER+ player embedded on the FD website. The usual YouTube stream does not carry this exclusive phase.
Consequently, viewers should switch before the opening ceremony. Waiting until the first Top 16 battle may create login, app or channel-search delays.

Formula DRIFT Indianapolis Times Across U.S. and International Time Zones
What time is Formula DRIFT Indianapolis in the United States?
Saturday’s PRO Top 32 starts at 2:30 p.m. ET, 1:30 p.m. CT, 12:30 p.m. MT and 11:30 a.m. PT. The PRO Top 16 starts at 7:00 p.m. ET, 6:00 p.m. CT, 5:00 p.m. MT and 4:00 p.m. PT.

| Sat. PRO Top 16 | 7:00 p.m. | 6:00 p.m. | 5:00 p.m. | 4:00 p.m. | 12:00 a.m. Sun. |
Indianapolis observes Eastern Daylight Time during the event. “ET” is the cleanest label for a U.S.-focused guide because it avoids seasonal confusion.
UK viewers must watch the date line. The 7:00 p.m. ET sessions begin at midnight BST on the following calendar day.
Toronto follows Eastern Time. Winnipeg follows Central Time, Calgary follows Mountain Time and Vancouver follows Pacific Time.
Add the six live blocks separately. A single weekend reminder can hide the long breaks between seeding, qualifying and elimination sessions.
Formula DRIFT Indianapolis TV Coverage on RACER Network
What channel is Formula DRIFT Indianapolis on?
RACER Network carries the RACER GridWalk and the PRO Top 16. The exact channel number depends on the viewer’s television provider. Viewers without RACER Network can watch the same Formula DRIFT content free through the RACER+ app or the embedded player on Formula DRIFT’s website.
Formula DRIFT and RACER announced a multi-year broadcast agreement in March 2026. It adds cable coverage, wider connected-device distribution and a dedicated pre-race show.
The agreement does not move every session to a conventional television channel. Instead, RACER Network focuses on the GridWalk and the headline PRO Top 16.
RACER GridWalk
The GridWalk is a live pre-race show from the hot pit. It includes close driver interviews before competition.
Formula DRIFT says the program begins RACER’s cable coverage. It also streams on RACER+ and through the player on the Formula DRIFT website.
The event timetable does not list a separate Indianapolis GridWalk clock time. Therefore, use the RACER schedule during event week rather than assuming it starts with the 7:00 p.m. Top 16 block.
RACER Network Availability
RACER says its television network reaches more than 25 million households. However, channel numbers and packages differ among cable and streaming television providers.
Search the electronic program guide for “RACER Network” and “Formula DRIFT.” Do not search only for “Indianapolis,” because the event may appear under the series name.
No Cable Is Required
Cable access is optional. RACER+ carries the GridWalk and PRO Top 16 for free.
The Formula DRIFT website player provides another route. This makes Saturday accessible to viewers who cannot find RACER Network through a television provider.

How to Stream Formula DRIFT Indianapolis for Free
Is the Formula DRIFT Indianapolis live stream free?
Yes. Formula DRIFT states that all of its live championship broadcasts remain free. RACER+ offers an optional subscription for other motorsport programming, but viewers do not need that paid tier to watch Formula DRIFT live competition.
The most complete free app route, including qualifying, early rounds, GridWalk and the PRO Top 16.
Phone · tablet · smart TVFree connected-TV channel for seeding, qualifying, Top 32 in both series and PROSPEC Top 16.
Samsung · LG · Vizio · Roku and moreThe official event hub and website player, including the RACER+ feed for exclusive sessions.
Desktop · mobile browserRACER+ App
RACER+ is available through iOS, Android and supported television app stores. Formula DRIFT recommends it as a direct route to the GridWalk and PRO Top 16.
The app contains an optional subscription feature. That paid feature covers deeper RACER offerings and other motorsport content. Formula DRIFT live content remains free.
Install the app before Saturday. Then test video playback, sound and television sign-in while support remains available.
RACER Select
RACER Select is a FAST channel, meaning free ad-supported streaming television. Formula DRIFT says it is available natively across a large connected-device footprint.
The channel carries qualifying, seeding, Top 32 for PRO and PROSPEC, plus PROSPEC Top 16. It does not replace RACER+ for the PRO Top 16.
Because FAST channel numbers vary by device, use the device search feature. Look for “RACER Select” rather than a fixed national channel number.
Formula DRIFT Website Player
The official live page is the central browser destination. Formula DRIFT’s RACER FAQ says the RACER+ player is embedded into the website.
This route is useful on laptops and desktop computers. It is also a practical backup when a television app is unavailable.
Open the live page directly instead of navigating from a search result during the event. Old replays and previous-round pages can appear above the current stream.
Phone and Tablet Viewing
RACER+ supports iOS and Android. The Formula DRIFT website also works through a modern mobile browser.
Use Wi-Fi for the long Top 32 and Top 16 blocks. A full afternoon of video can consume substantial mobile data.
Keep the device charging during the halftime break. The Saturday main event can run for several hours, especially when battles require OMTs.
Smart-TV Viewing
RACER Select is available on connected platforms including Samsung, LG, Vizio and Roku. RACER’s distribution also includes Amazon devices.
RACER+ may be available as a separate app on supported smart televisions. App availability can differ by model year and region.
When an app is missing, connect a laptop by HDMI or cast from a compatible phone. Test audio before the live judging decisions begin.
Use RACER Select for seeding, qualifying and Top 32. Then switch to the free RACER+ app or Formula DRIFT website player for the GridWalk and PRO Top 16.
Formula DRIFT Indianapolis on YouTube: What Is and Is Not Included
Is Formula DRIFT Indianapolis live on YouTube?
Most early event coverage remains available through Formula DRIFT’s usual YouTube output. However, the official RACER FAQ excludes RACER’s live show, the GridWalk and the PRO Top 16. Viewers must use RACER Network, RACER+ or the Formula DRIFT website player for those sessions.
Sessions Expected Through the Usual YouTube Route
- Thursday PROSPEC Seeding Bracket
- Thursday PRO qualifying
- Friday PROSPEC Top 32
- Friday PROSPEC Top 16 and final
- Saturday PRO Top 32
The official FAQ says viewers can keep watching on YouTube as usual except for the named RACER exclusions. Formula DRIFT’s live page remains the best link hub because direct video URLs can appear close to each session.
Sessions Not Included in the Usual YouTube Feed
- RACER’s dedicated live show
- RACER GridWalk
- Saturday PRO Top 16 through the final
The Top 16 exception is significant because it includes the Great 8, Final Four and final. A viewer who remains on YouTube may lose the stream just before the championship’s decisive battles.
Why Formula DRIFT Changed the Distribution
The RACER partnership expands television and connected-device reach. It also funds new programming and provides a more prominent home for the headline competition.
Formula DRIFT says the broadcasts remain free. Therefore, the change concerns location rather than a new paywall.
Avoid Unofficial Streams
Unofficial feeds can carry delayed video, missing commentary and intrusive advertising. They may also disappear during the final.
Use Formula DRIFT Live, the official YouTube channel, RACER+ or RACER Network. Those routes preserve judging explanations and battle replays.
Replays, Live Results, Brackets and Highlights
Where can I watch the Formula DRIFT Indianapolis replay?
Formula DRIFT’s official Live page contains separate replay areas for qualifying and main competition. Before the event, those Indianapolis sections show no replay. Videos and result links should appear after sessions are processed and published.
Formula DRIFT Live Replay Page
The Indianapolis live page already contains placeholders for qualifying and main-competition replays. Those areas remain empty before the event.
After publication, use the official page first. It reduces the risk of opening a shortened fan upload or a video from another round.
YouTube Archives
Qualifying and early-round streams may remain on the Formula DRIFT YouTube channel. Availability can depend on the rights attached to each production.
The PRO Top 16 belongs to the RACER distribution package. Therefore, its full replay may follow a different publication route from qualifying.
RACER+ Replays
RACER+ can carry on-demand motorsport content. Search the app for Formula DRIFT and the Indianapolis event after the live broadcast.
Replay timing is not guaranteed immediately after the final. Production teams may need time to process the program.
Official Results and Brackets
The Formula DRIFT live and standings pages publish event results. Qualifying order, Top 32 brackets and championship points can change after official review.
Use the final classification for championship calculations. A provisional result can move after technical inspection or a formal decision.
World of Speed’s guides to championship scoring, race timing and lap counting explain conventional racing systems. Formula DRIFT differs because judged battles replace lap-time competition.
A Spoiler-Free Viewing Plan
- Bookmark the direct replay page before the event.
- Avoid Formula DRIFT social feeds until the replay appears.
- Open the qualifying and main-competition tabs directly.
- Disable push notifications from motorsport news apps.
Indianapolis Raceway Park Trackside Information
Where is Formula DRIFT Indianapolis held?
Midwest Mayhem takes place at Indianapolis Raceway Park, 10267 US Highway 136, Indianapolis, Indiana 46234. Formula DRIFT states that Thursday parking is free. Parking costs $10 on Friday and $10 on Saturday.
Venue Address
Indianapolis Raceway Park sits west of central Indianapolis. The official event address is 10267 US Hwy 136, Indianapolis, IN 46234.
Formula DRIFT describes the round as its Indianapolis debut. The event uses the historic venue’s oval area and newly added pavement.
Parking
Thursday parking is free. Friday and Saturday parking costs $10 per day according to the official event page.
Arrive early for the Saturday Top 32. The venue opens at noon, while PRO warm-up starts at 12:30 p.m.
Public Opening Hours
Thursday opens to the public from 11:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday both open from noon until 10:00 p.m.
Will call opens earlier than the public gates. Thursday will call runs from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday will call runs from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Box Office
The Thursday box office operates from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday hours are noon to 9:00 p.m.
Formula DRIFT states that sales are final and events run rain or shine. Plan for changing summer weather rather than expecting a weather-based refund.
Friday Autograph Signing
The public autograph session runs Friday from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. It falls during the break between PROSPEC Top 32 and Top 16.
Bring the item you want signed and keep the line moving. The evening opening ceremony begins at 7:00 p.m.
Saturday Track Walk
The track-walk experience begins Saturday at 6:30 p.m. It is scheduled only 30 minutes before the PRO opening ceremony.
The separate ticket listing says the experience does not include event admission. Fans need both the appropriate event ticket and track-walk access.
Camping and PASMAG Car Show
The official event page links to camping and the PASMAG Car Show. Availability and package terms are managed through the linked organizers.
Confirm arrival times directly before traveling. External event details can change independently from the Formula DRIFT competition timetable.
What to Follow From the Grandstands
Watch initiation first. Then follow the gap during transitions rather than focusing only on tire smoke.
The lead car must deliver a chaseable judged line. The chase car must maintain proximity while matching angle and pace.
World of Speed’s guides to grip, car handling, motorsport crashes and racing flags provide useful trackside background.
Championship Context Before the Indianapolis Broadcast
James Deane leads the official PRO standings with 149 points. Aurimas Bakchis is second on 127, while Branden Sorensen has 107.
Jack Shanahan sits fourth with 106 points, and Conor Shanahan has 105. Consequently, qualifying and every main-event battle can change the order.
The broadcast should emphasize Thursday’s qualifying points and Saturday’s elimination points. A strong seed shapes the bracket, but drivers must still win tandem battles.
Formula DRIFT’s new Indianapolis course adds uncertainty. Teams arrive without previous event setup data, while fresh pavement can change throughout the weekend.
That is why the full timetable matters. Thursday explains speed, Friday reveals track evolution and Saturday decides the championship result.
Do not treat Friday as a gap day. PROSPEC will show how the Indianapolis surface behaves before the PRO championship enters elimination.
World of Speed broadcast guideThe Best Formula DRIFT Indianapolis Viewing Plan
Before Thursday
- Bookmark the official Formula DRIFT Live page.
- Install the free RACER+ app.
- Find RACER Select on the television or streaming device.
- Subscribe to the official Formula DRIFT YouTube channel.
Thursday
Start at 3:00 p.m. ET for PROSPEC seeding. Return at 7:00 p.m. for PRO qualifying.
Qualifying is the most important Thursday session. It sets Saturday’s bracket and reveals how every PRO driver handles the new course.
Friday
Watch the PROSPEC Top 32 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. ET. The surface information will improve the Saturday viewing experience.
Return at 7:00 p.m. for the Top 16 through the final. Connected-TV viewers can use RACER Select.
Saturday
Open the PRO Top 32 at 2:30 p.m. ET. During halftime, confirm that RACER+ or RACER Network is ready.
Switch away from YouTube before the GridWalk and 7:00 p.m. Top 16. Use RACER+, RACER Network or the official FD website player.
Backup Plan
Keep two official routes ready. A mobile device with RACER+ can back up the television, while the FD live page can back up the app.
Restart the player during halftime rather than during a tandem battle. Also disable battery-saving settings that may stop background playback.
YouTube or RACER Select works for most early sessions; RACER+ is the simplest complete solution and becomes essential for the PRO Top 16.
